Water Your Peas

Perhaps I'm just "waxing philosophically" here, if that's even a thing. But I've been thinking of an incident many years ago when I was living with my parents for a little while shortly after I had gotten out of the Air Force.
They had a garden in their back yard where they grew fresh vegetables and such. My Dad expanded the garden by a few rows and planted some peas on the last two. As I was there I'd help water the garden and even with the long garden hose it would not fully reach those last two with the peas in them. I would take buckets of water and walk down each row in order to give the peas that water they needed to help them grow.
The weather started getting hotter and hotter and drier and drier it looked like the peas wouldn't survive. And in the meantime I moved in with my oldest brother who lived further south in Alabama.
Later, on a visit back to my parents my Dad took me out to the garden and showed me the peas. They were healthy, growing and producing peas. We used that as a lesson in life...
Don't give up, water your peas and you'll see good results!
